Programs & Services

How we walk together.

Five programs that support Fur families in the United States — from weekend language classes for kids to help for newly arrived households.

Youth & Education

Raising children in two languages, one love.

We support K–12 and college students from Fur families with tutoring, mentorship, and scholarship help. Students get paired with mentors who can help them with schoolwork, college applications, and adjusting to life in the U.S.

Who it serves: K–12 and college students.
Humanitarian Relief

Built with the Fur community.

We provide critical humanitarian assistance to Fur communities affected by the ongoing conflict in Sudan. Our relief efforts support internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Darfur and Fur refugees who have fled to Chad. We deliver food, medical supplies, shelter materials, and emergency cash assistance. Working with local partners on the ground, we ensure aid reaches those most in need — families who have lost everything and are struggling to survive. Every donation directly supports life-saving relief for our displaced brothers and sisters.

Who it serves: Displaced Fur communities in Sudan and refugee camps in Chad.
Language & Literacy

The Fur language on Saturdays, English on Mondays.

Saturday Fur-language classes for children, English classes for newly arrived adults, and basic computer skills workshops. The goal is simple: kids stay connected to our language, and parents have what they need to navigate daily life.

Who it serves: Children, adults, and elders in our community.
Leadership

Our community has always had leaders.

Workshops and small-group programs for people who want to organize events, serve on local boards, or speak up for our community. No prior experience needed.

Who it serves: Community members interested in leadership roles.
Family Support

From the first lease to the first storefront.

Case management for newcomers, job-search support, small-business coaching, and basic financial literacy classes. We help families with the practical steps of starting over — finding housing, getting work, opening a business.

Who it serves: Newcomer families, job seekers, and small-business owners.
Culture & Community

The living culture of the Fur.

We host community gatherings, cultural celebrations, and storytelling events. We also partner with mosques, schools, and refugee organizations to make sure Fur families know about resources available to them.

Who it serves: Fur families and community partners.
